However diverse the culture is in the Caribbean, the islands have stunning beauty in common. Saint Kitts and Nevis is a dual-island country, with every bit of fascination as any Caribbean island. If you read about these two islands in travel literature, they'll tell you Nevis offers more seclusion with no movie theaters, traffic lights, train stations, souvenir stands, chain stores, or fast food restaurants. If you stay two days, half the island will know you by name. Nevis definitely has a unique charm but this paradise has not escaped the world of luxury.
That said, despite its sister island Saint Kitts' Burger King, national museum, and annual carnival, you can still drive away from the city of Basseterre and capture the quiet island life

I stayed with a photographer on Saint Kitts and and had the amazing good fortune to be invited on photo shoots with her. We covered most of the island by car, stopping at what I thought were secret spots. But later riding the public bus across the island over several days, I discovered these secret spots were on the bus route and hopping on and off of busses gave me the same photo opportunities as did a private vehicle - plus I got to talk with more locals, who consistently welcomed me equally as the charming folks of Nevis.
